In the heart of the Alpilles, in the Bouches-du-Rhône, this 18th century farmhouse has been completely restored. In close proximity to the town center that belies its countryside feel, this wonderful holiday home will give you a feeling of escape. The facilities are luxurious and the U-shaped layout of the house makes it perfect for sharing with family or friends. You will also love the outdoor facilities that invite you to relax and enjoy life in Provence.

Social living areas

The kitchen is fully equipped with a Falcon stove, refrigerator, Nespresso machine, microwave, kettle, toaster and coffee maker. A Provencal table with 5 chairs also make it a convivial space. The kitchen opens onto a furnished terrace, where a wooden table accommodates at least 6 people, covered with shade from a large umbrella.

In the living room there is a cozy wood-burning fireplace, two sofas the TV, and a smart Böse speaker system.

Time for bed

Downstairs there are two double bedrooms (180 x 200cm beds), both with air-conditioning and a safe for securing personal valuables.

Bedroom 1 has a private bathroom with walk-in shower, bath, double basin and WC. This room, with cooling terracotta floor tiles, overlooks the garden and has a small private terrace with comfortable seating for four.

Bedroom 2 offers direct access to the garden. It has a bathroom with walk-in shower, bath, a double basin and WC.

Upstairs is divided into two halves. A small staircase leads to two bedrooms in the west wing:

Bedroom 3 has a 160 x 200cm bed, bathroom with walk-in shower, basin and separate WC. This room also has a small adjoining bedroom, best suited as a babies room, with a cot and a wardrobe.

Bedroom 4 is a large, bright room with a 180 x 200cm bed, a desk, safe, aircon and two large windows overlooking the garden and the fountain. The bathroom has a walk-in shower, bath, double basin and WC. It also has a small adjoining bedroom, with a 90cm (single) bed and its own WC.

The east wing is reached from the living room, with a staircase to two further adjoining double bedrooms.

Bedroom 5 is air-conditioned. It has a double bed (180 X 200cm) that can be split into twin beds of 90cm each. Also equipped with a safe, the room has two large picture windows that overlook the garden. A separate bathroom has a walk-in shower, bath, double basin and WC.

Bedroom 6 is also air-conditioned. Again, there are twin beds in this room that can be joined to form a double bed (180 x 180cm). On a mezzanine level there are two further 90cm single beds.

Perfect for a sharing family or young singles, this room is served by a bathroom with walk-in shower, basin and WC. It opens onto a furnished terrace and has direct access to the garden.

Relax or invigorate

For those wanting to stay active, there is a fitness area complete with sauna, separate shower and a WC. The gym is equipped with yoga matts, weights, a weight bench, exercise bike, kettlebells, balance balls and a skipping rope.

A well-equipped kitchen opens onto the very spacious (approx 100 m²) summer living area, which is air-conditioned. In the kitchen you’ll find everything you need to prepare a Provencal feast, which can be served indoors at the 14-seater dining table. In the kitchen are two refrigerators with freezer, a Smeg stove, Smeg coffee maker, Kitchenaid blender, Nespresso coffee machine, toaster and kettle.

In the cooler months you might want to spend time indoors. In the lounge there is a large fireplace with inset wood burning stove, a TV & speakers. This room is located near the pool and opens onto a large terrace with a wooden table that can seat 12-14 people, an outdoor lounge area with a 4-seater sofa, armchairs and an ottoman. There is also a Weber barbecue and plenty of shade under large umbrellas.

Superior exterior

The house is set in a fenced wooded park of 6,500m² and there is private parking for up to 10 cars.

The 15m x 5m swimming pool can be heated (there is an additional charge for this) and it is equipped with alarms. Laze around the pool on one of the 8 sun loungers or a double outdoor bed.

There is also a pool house, and to keep you active there is petanque (boulles), a ping-pong table, an air hockey table, 3 bicycles and other games.

The property is located a 10-minute walk from the St Rémy de Provence town centre. The small capital of the Alpilles, it is one of the must-see areas of Provence, where lush, scented valleys invite you in.
