Luxury renovated farmhouse in the heart of the Luberon

Mas des Trois Clefs, a fully-equipped, luxury villa in the heart of picturesque Provence, will simply take your breath away. Originally an old farm and derelict house, the British owners purchased the property in January 2014. It has now been fully restored into a luxury, 4-bedroom villa with pool, terrace and shared tennis court. Mas des Trois Clefs (literally, “three keys farmhouse”) is nestled between young vineyards and has spectacular views of the Ansouis Chateau in front, and the Luberon mountains behind.

It is a 4-bedroom, 4-bathroom, newly renovated farm house with a separate garage. Almost every room in the house has a magnificent view of the famous Ansouis chateau.

Downstairs there is a large dining area in the entrance hall, a spacious lounge with working fireplace, a separate TV lounge, and a laundry room. The kitchen – overlooking the patio, swimming pool and with lovely views of the valley – is a chef’s dream, with Smeg stove and oven and wine fridge.

Bedrooms upstairs

A winding staircase leads to the bedrooms upstairs. The master bedroom with 5’ king double bed has a walk-in dressing room and en-suite with shower (no bath). The other very large bedroom has a super king bed and an en-suite with bath and shower

The other two bedrooms each have a bathroom. One has a double bed and bathroom with bath and shower opposite. The fourth bedroom has two single beds and a bathroom with shower and hand basin, with a separate toilet.

Idyllic setting

Mas des Trois Clefs is surrounded by five acres of land, which comprises vines, olives and green oaks.  There are over 100 olive trees which are harvested to produce olive oil each November/December. There is a swimming pool in front of the house, with access to a hard tennis court at the bottom of the fields. A water fountain provides the soothing sounds of trickling water.

There is plenty of parking within the property, which is accessed via an electric gate. There is also a “boules court” alongside the main drive, and bicycles can be made available on request. There is also a private clay tennis court on the property, with tennis racquets provided.

Mas des Trois Clefs is in an area of outstanding beauty and the climate is wonderful. From the terrace, which is alongside a 8m x 4m swimming pool (depth of 1.1m to 1.5m) and a large shady tree with lawn, you look out over a beautiful valley, with the chateau taking centre stage. There is plenty of very comfortable patio furniture to lounge around on.

For stays of more than one week, a light cleaning (change of sheets and refresh of the bathrooms and kitchen) is done weekly. The swimming pool is checked and maintained weekly. There are wall-mounted air-conditioning units throughout, and in winter the house is centrally heated. There is a cot and high chair, and bicycles can be made available on request.

Another wonderful stay at Les Trois Clef.
We were greeted by the lovely Teresa who continued to check in with us periodically to ensure everything was well with the property.
The villa is fantastic, spacious and tastefully decorated in Provençal style. Lovely large bedrooms, plenty of bathrooms and the all important air-conditioning.
The grounds and pool are very relaxing and the view from the terrace is amazing.
Les Trois Clef is ideally located just a 10min walk from Ansouis and a short drive from Cucaron- both very pretty with some lovely restaurants.
      Would definitely recommend.

    2. Richard & Sarah - UK says:

We had a wonderful stay at Les Trois Clefs with our friends. We were warmly welcomed at the beautiful house by Teresa, who was extremely helpful.
Our breaths were taken away by stunning views over the vineyards, and the only other property you could see was the gorgeous Ansouis castle.
The house had everything we needed for a really special week.
Days were filled with visits to the local market towns for fresh patisseries, followed by relaxing afternoons by the pool sampling the local food and wine.
Highly recommend Les Trois Clefs and we will be looking to come back!

My family of 8 adults plus toddler had a wonderful holiday at this beautiful home. So spacious and immaculate – well provisioned kitchen – great laundry room – really nothing to fault in fact it exceeded our expectations. The location is ideal for easy shopping and walking to Ansouis was possible. Bicycles provided and tennis rackets and balls for fun times on the court plus boule in the driveway. Very spacious parking for our 3 cars and the bonus of a double garage. Pool was well used and the safety cover (for the baby) so easy to operate. Cot and high chair were provided and many toys too!
There were generous provisions in the kitchen to get us started and we were welcomed by lovely Teresa who returned swiftly when we had a small problem with a blocked shower and the pool cover which she repaired. The tv wasn’t connected to the internet and Teresa wasn’t able to get it fixed but it was fun to watch the football in a local sports bar.
It’s a great house and the service provided pre-arrival, on arrival, during stay and on departure was excellent.
We would definitely book the house again and have recommended it to our friends.
      Thank you very much!

We had the perfect week of luxury, joy and fun in your beautiful house and could not have enjoyed ourselves more. It really is living the dream surrounded by the glorious countryside, vines, olives, lavender and the fabulous villages of the Luberon within a stone’s throw to explore. We could not have appreciated everything more.

    5. Alex Derrick says:

We had a fantastic time thanks – what an amazing place it is! We sadly didn’t have much luck with the weather as it rained quite a lot (the day we went to Les Baux-de-Provence they had more rain in 24 hours than the previous 12 months nearby!), but still were able to enjoy the local area and just spending time at the house as well. Great food and wine everywhere, nice fires at home etc. I think we will come back another time with hopefully a bit of sun.

    6. The Wheelers says:

We have had the most wonderful family holiday and the past two weeks has flown past. Our boys had a great time exploring the garden and pool and we very much enjoyed Ansouis, Lourmarin and all the beautiful villages in the area. We all hope to be in this special part of Provence again soon.

    7. Diana & Stephen Hawke says:

There is so much to see and do in the wider area but with a house and pool as inviting as this and such a beautiful setting we didn’t stray far. Luckily there are some truly beautiful villages and some excellent restaurants on the doorstep! This has been such a lovely family holiday, we certainly hope to return.

    8. Joe and Chloe Hawke says:

It has been such a lovely week here at Les Trois Clefs. The house and garden were all really well kept and the views over to Ansouis are stunning.Having stayed in Provence multiple times before, I thought I knew the area fairly well, but having not been to the Luberon valley before, I can now say that it’s definitely the best area in the south of France that we have ever been to. Lots to see and do, and the people are all very friendly.

    9. Robbie, Lucy, Charlie, Mimes & Poppy says:

Such a good holiday! An amazing area we have only managed to touch on in between tennis, swimming and cycling. A truly beautiful villa, with so many comforts – many thanks for a wonderful week.

    10. Christine G - Mirfield, West Yorkshire UK says:

We absolutely loved our week in this fabulous holiday home. The whole house is beautifully planned and extremely well equipped both inside and out. Since the farmhouse is set in open country is it very peaceful and yet very near to the village of Ansouis. No-one comes on holiday just to cook but the kitchen is so remarkably well equipped and you could produce absolutely anything you wished. We toured around the area and found everything to be beautiful and close by. Walter was charming and helpful, thankfully everything was so well maintained we didn’t need to call. We hope to return before long!!

    11. McKeown-Vincent says:

Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful house with us. We have had a perfect week. We are a family of six – parents, grandparents and children – and we all had the best holiday.

    12. Heather & Mark Sutton says:

Thanks indeed for a wonderful two weeks in this beautiful villa. It’s been perfect in every way. A touristy week with our family and the second week peaceful with just the two of us. A bonus was our little grandson learning to swim in the pool. We will hopefully be back next year.

    13. The Hillys & The De Vines says:

Wonderful villa in a wonderful location! An outstanding holiday in every way. This part of Provence is simply the best.

    14. Andrew & Cathy Pike says:

So many enjoyable moments spent here over the past couple of weeks it has been hard to pick out the highlights, but the weather has to be top of the list – absolutely picture-perfect Provence for the whole time. We have been blown away with everything here at Ansouis and Les 3 Clefs.

    15. Henri & Veronique says:

We spent a wonderful couple of weeks in your beautiful house. Relax in the middle of the vineyards with a beautiful sunset over the castle! Everything was perfect, we will be back for sure!

    16. Jan & Charlotte, Hidde & Follert says:

We had a wonderful week at Les 3 Clefs, your beautiful house! As we know the area we just wanted to relax and enjoy reading, dipping in the pool, playing tennis and having nice food. So we did and it was great. Besides that we also enjoyed the countryside and made this special visit to Chateau La Coste, a winery and art walk nearby. Do go there, it is fantastic! Great place to have lunch as well.

    17. Ed Poplawski - Brisbane, Australia says:

I am compelled to ‘put pen to paper’ as I sit contentedly watching the winter sun gracefully disappear from a glowing golden skyscape. We have been travelling extensively for 3 weeks and were looking forward to our villa escape. It has been a truly memorable and beautiful experience. The villa comfortably accommodates 8 even though we only used 1 bedroom. Blessed with all modern appliances and conveniences and spacious living areas with beautiful large glass windows and doors which open out onto a large paved and pooled entertaining area surrounded by vineyards and rose gardens. A peaceful and quiet existence with many a small village and market nearby to source remarkable local produce and wares. We will return in warmer months with our family to enjoy. Fantastic villa, ideal spot…a most memorable French Provence experience.

    18. John Heap - London says:

This property, Mas des Trois Clefs, is fabulous. Well equipped, stylish design throughout, air conditioning everywhere and excellent quality furniture around the pool in which to lounge, read a book and drink lots of chilled wine. Walter attends to your every need and is so charming. It is a great house to either never move from or to use as a base to explore the wonderful Provencal countryside all around. We could not have loved the place more.

    19. Cheryl G says:

What a beautiful house, view etc. We have had a week to remember in this glorious region. Your house is truly beautiful as is the region of the Luberon. Endless delightful villages steeped in history to explore. Gorges Verdon a must – only a 90min drive and well worth it.

    20. Hugo et al says:

It was an utterly relaxing stay, so comfortable and at the end of our week here we are feeling so well rested. A wonderfully tranquil escape from the heltaskelta of London life. The house is gorgeously comfortable and impeccably decorated. Highlights include steak on the barbie, pool games, visits to Lacoste and Bonnieux, biere pression in Cucuron, the accent game and kayaking in Les Calanques. We are all feeling very very rested.
