Provencal living at its best
5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, private salt swimming pool set in 5,000m² garden
In Vaucluse, in the heart of the Luberon Natural Park, this pretty property is adjacent to “La Bonde” lake and is a stone’s throw from some of the most popular and typical Provencal villages. Its view is unobstructed and provides serenity with all that Provence has to offer.
Behind its classic an unassuming neo-Provençal facade you’ll find a tastefully and luxuriously decorated, neutral and natural feeling space that can accommodate up to 11 people.
Living areas
On the ground floor, the entrance hall leads you into a 70m² living area featuring gorgeous exposed wood beams, in the purest Provençal tradition. Its volume is generous and offers a very pleasant indoor-outdoor living experience, with a bay window giving direct access to the covered terrace. Shadows and light cross the room, making for a warm atmosphere. The colour scheme of the furniture is neutral, accentuated with plenty of natural materials and textures.
The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped with a hob and extractor, American fridge, two ovens, microwave, Nespresso machine and dishwasher.
Sleeping spaces
On this floor you’ll find two large bedrooms (approx 15m² each). These rooms share a separate WC. They both have access to the outdoor terrace and a view of the garden and the vineyards as far as the eye can see.
- Bedroom 1 “Grenache”: 160x200cm double bed, flat screen TV, private shower room with walk-in shower, basin, towel dryer.
- Bedroom 2 “Syrah”: 160x200cm double bed, flat screen TV, private shower room with walk-in shower, basin, towel dryer.
Upstairs are three more bedrooms:
- Bedroom 3 “Vermentino”: this 23m² master bedroom has a 160x200cm bed, flat-screen TV and a private shower room with WC.
- Bedroom 4 “Chenin”: has three single beds (80x200cm)
- Bedroom 5 “Viognier”: has two 80x200cm beds that can be combined to form a 200x160cm king. An extra bed is available to accommodate a small child.
On this level there is a shower room with double basin, and separate WC.
Quintessential Luberon views
The villa is located a few hundred meters from l’Etang de la Bonde in lush greenery. The property comprises 5,000m² of unfenced and flat lands planted with grass, olive trees, plants and shrubs, and is surrounded by vineyards and olive trees as far as the eye can see.
The 10mx5m salt-chlorinated swimming pool is surrounded by lawn and wooden decking and is secured by an audible alarm. It has a max depth of 1.5m. There are six deck chairs around the pool. The pool is checked daily at 6am.
To make the most of the weather and the views, we recommend outdoor dining on the terrace, which has a shade sail that provides plenty of protection against the midday sun, a table that can seat 10-12 people and an electric BBQ.
The outdoor lounge or “zen corner” is comfortably furnished with armchairs and sofas for enjoying your aperitifs while admiring the view. You can also engage in a typical local pastime with a game of boules (sipping on a pastis is optional).
There is private parking in front of the house for 3 or 4 cars. Weekly garden and swimming pool maintenance and end-of-stay cleaning is included.
Location is key
Between La Motte d’Aigues and Cabrières d’Aigues, this region called “the Pays d’Aigues” is the land of water. It is the Luberon area that has the most natural water “sources”. It borders the southern buttress of the Grand Luberon massif at the foot of the Mourre Nègre.
It is in the heart of the Luberon Regional Natural Park, a living and preserved space. All the necessary amenities are close by and there are many restaurants in the area to give you plenty to choose from.
