Enjoy the peace and privacy of the countryside while being only 2km from the lovely village of Lourmarin. Halfway between Avignon and Aix en Provence, in the heart of the Luberon Regional Park, Le Grand Mazet sits on 3 hectares of private grounds, adjoined on one side by vineyards.

The bleached beamed ceilings, cool floors, elegant furnishings and artistic decor of this elegant stone house will make you feel instantly at home. The generously proportioned main house has three bedrooms and there is also a separate one-bedroom guest cottage.

Generous indoor spaces

On the ground floor there is a luxury modern kitchen equipped with an oven, microwave, a Nespresso machine, dishwasher, fridge and an induction hob.

A spacious dining room, which is the heart of the property, has a table that seats eight. There is plenty of natural light through the double doors that open out onto the terrace and garden.

The living room has deep and comfortable sofas where you can sit and read or watch TV in the evening during the cooler months, or relax in front of the open fireplace with a book. There is also a separate toilet on the ground floor.

Sleeping arrangements

Upstairs at Le Grand Mazet there are three bedrooms, all furnished in a charming country style. Bedrooms 1 & 2 each have a double bed (180×200). In bedroom 3, putting the two single beds together makes up a double (2x90x200). There are two bathrooms: the larger of the two has a bath, walk-in shower and toilet, while the other has a shower and a toilet.

A fourth bedroom is located in the guest cottage, which has a separate entrance. It has a bedroom with a double bed (180×200) and a private bathroom with shower and toilet, and a washing machine.

It also boasts a modern furnished living area with wood stove and a fully fitted luxury, modern kitchen (incl. electric hob, oven, refrigerator and dishwasher) and a 4-seater dining table.

Please note, however, that there is currently no wifi in the cottage.

Congregate outdoors

You will likely want to spend your time at Le Grand Mazet relaxing around the pool and on the various outdoor terraces, and there is ample lawn space for children to play.

Meals can be served on the outside dining table under the covered terrace, and there is a gas BBQ for cooking outdoors. The pergola provides ample shade. From this terrace you have a beautiful view of Le Grand Mazet’s garden and pool.

The large swimming pool (14×6m with a depth of 1.2-1.8m) is surrounded by a stone terrace boasting sun loungers and parasols a-plenty. The pool can be heated, which is nice in the cooler months of May, June and September. 

There is plenty of parking on private drive, for up to four cars.
