Le Mas des Redelles is an authentic 19th century sheepfold that was renovated in 2020. It’s set at the foot of the Luberon in the town of Lauris, just 10 minutes from Lourmarin. It is set in an exceptional, bucolic environment amid absolute calm – the only sounds are from the myriad birds and chirping cicadas.

On a single level, Le Mas des Redelles consists of a bright living room with a large insert fireplace. There’s a sweetly decorated mezzanine that’s perfect as a children’s play area. The large, fully equipped kitchen opens onto a veranda on one side, with an adjoining pantry and laundry room.

The comfortable living area has an open inset fireplace, a smart TV and there is wifi throughout.

Perfect for families

Le Mas des Redelles is perfectly suited to accommodating 4 adults and 2 children. It has  three lovely  bedrooms, all with brand-new mattresses and box springs. Two of the bedrooms are doubles and the third has 2 single beds (90x190cm), making it ideal for singles or children. This room has an adjoining Italian bathroom with bath /shower and heated towel rails.

The first of the two double bedrooms (bed 160x200cm) has a TV, a shower room, and opens onto the north verandah that is set with a table and six chairs.

The largest of the three bedrooms also has a TV and en-suite Italian shower room.

Steeped in summer traditions

It’s an established property, totalling 2.5 hectares of land planted with olive trees, truffle oaks, and endemic Mediterranean species.

It’s perfect for carefree outdoor living, being equipped with petanque, swings, outdoor seating and an electric “plancha” grill.

The south-facing swimming pool is 8mx4.5m with a flat bottom at a depth of 1.5m. It has a submerged safety roller shutter. There are also six deck chairs for sunbathing around the pool.

Great location

Here you’re ideally placed at the start of many hikes in the Luberon massif. The village of Lauris, with all its amenities (bakeries, butchers, tobacco, greengrocer, gas station, restaurants and cafes) is just 3km away.

There’s a 2-car shaded carport alongside the house. Pets are allowed on request, although the property is not fenced. The change-over day is flexible, with minimum stays of 7 nights or more. This is a non-smoking property. There is no air-conditioning but table fans are available if needed.

• Booking deposit: 25% of total rent
• Pets allowed on request; a fee of €40 is charged per animal
• Final balance payment due at least 30 days prior to check-in date, which consists of:
  • 75% of total rent
  • Refundable breakages deposit: €1,000
  • Local stay tax: €1.75 per adult per night
