Rent Our Home acts only as a listing / advertising portal and any bookings or rental contracts shall be between the renter/guest and the respective property owner.
We have made every effort possible to ensure the quality of the properties advertised on this website but cannot be held liable in any dispute or claim between renters and property owners or property managers. If you have any reason for complaint while staying at one of the properties listed on our site, please let us know immediately.
A contract will be provided to the renter for signature upon booking. By booking a property through our website you agree to the terms and conditions provided in the rental agreement. Please refer to your contract for all terms and conditions relating to the rental agreement, including payment terms and cancellation policies.
Coronavirus
Your safety is our highest priority. We would like to assure guests that we will do our best to accommodate changes to your travel plans brought about by coronavirus. Property owners who advertise on our site are being asked to be flexible about their cancellation policy for any reservations that need to be cancelled as a result of a government coronavirus-related travel ban.
If you would like to cancel or postpone your trip due to Coronavirus you can usually do so if agreed with the owner as part of your rental terms. Please inform us or the owner in writing at least 30 days before your original check-in date, to give us the best possible chance of rebooking another guest.
Payments
All payments are made direct to owners or via our secure online card payment portal, powered by Stripe. We do not store credit card details.
Property listings information
The rental rates for properties listed on the website are set by the respective property owners and are not negotiable. Prices quoted will include self-catered accommodation only, unless otherwise stated.
Owners reserve the right to amend their rates at any time. This will not affect any confirmed booking (where a rate has been agreed in writing and a deposit has been paid).
The owner determines any Security or Damages Deposit included in a booking. Rent Our Home is not responsible for adjudicating and managing security deposit disputes, and disclaims liability in this regard.
Renters will be provided with the full property address and directions to it once full payment has been received by the owner.
Rent Our Home does not offer travel insurance or cancellation protection. We accept no liability for personal injury, or loss of or damage to your belongings. Renters are strongly advised to take out the appropriate personal liability insurance, as well as travel insurance.
Calendar availability is maintained by the respective property owner, and all bookings are made on the understanding that the accommodation is available on the date booked. Rent Our Home will not be liable for damages or claims arising if, for any reason, an owner cancels a confirmed reservation or a property becomes unavailable for any reason.
Property listings have been prepared using information provided by the owners. Rent Our Home cannot be held liable for any errors, inaccuracies or omissions.
Using our website – property owners
When you create an account on our website, you must provide information that is accurate, complete, and current at all times. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of the Terms, which may result in immediate termination of your account.
You are responsible for safeguarding the password that you use to access the website and for any activities or actions under your password, whether your password is with our website or a third-party service. You agree not to disclose your password to any third party. You must notify us immediately upon becoming aware of any breach of security or unauthorised use of your account.
Third-party links
Our website may contain links to third-party sites or services that are not owned or controlled by Rent Our Home. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services.
The legal stuff
Rent Our Home shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with use of or reliance on any such content, goods or services available on or through any such websites or services.
We may terminate or suspend your online account and/or access to our service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service will immediately cease. If you wish to terminate your account, you may simply discontinue using the service.
These Terms are governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between us regarding our service, and supersede and replace any prior agreements we might have between us regarding the service.
By continuing to access or use our service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the terms. If you do not agree to the terms, please stop using the service.
